Once a city’s population density reaches a certain size, cars alone are not going to cut it for transportation. Emphasis needs to be put on more efficient ways to move people through streets. There are several types of public transportation: buses, light rail, and even bike share. Public transportation should be able to reliably transport people from places where they live to places where they work or recreate. Work is needed to remove the stigma that exists in many parts of the country toward using public transportation.
